WHAT TO EXPECT: Adults, nymph, and larvae S. scimitus are generalist foliar predators that actively seek out their prey, so you will see tiny specks of mobile white-, brown-, or tan-coloured insects on soil and leaves.

RECOMMENDED USE: Gently shake the bag, and sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons onto the top soil of each plant, a few inches away from the stems. DO NOT MIX INTO THE SOIL. For best results, apply within the first few weeks of potting/repotting, and/or before there is an established adult pest population. Repeat 2-3 times during a growing season to maximize population growth.

EFFECTIVE AGAINST: Sciarid flies (fungus gnats); Western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis); Greenhouse thrips (Heliothrips haemorrhoidalis); Two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae); root aphids and root mealybugs

BENEFITS: Entomite M is an ideal biological control option for pests with a soil-based life cycle. An established population colonizes the soil and feeds on pest eggs, pupae, and larvae. Minimal reapplication (2-3 times) during a growing season is usually enough to establish S. scimitus population.

Entomite M is a biological control product produced by Koppert Biological Solutions that contains the beneficial insect Stratiolaleps scimitus, a a soil-dwelling, generalist predatory mite whose colour varies from white (young) to brown or tan (adults). Each bag holds 1,000 predatory mites mixed with cocopeat, which is an ideal substrate for sprinkling into plant soil.

* Please note that this product will be delivered to you in paper bags containing 1,000 predatory mites (see dosage recommendations).
